BAT Vietnam - Operations

Operations at BAT Vietnam is divided into:

• Supply Network Operations (SNO)
• Primary Manufacturing Division (which is British American Tobacco – Vinataba (JV) Limited)
• Secondary Manufacturing Division (which is Vina – BAT Joint Venture Company Limited)

Supply Network Operations covers supply- demand planning, new product planning and logistics services. For SNO in fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) like BAT- the aim is to ensure that there is always supply of goods to support sale function, project management to bring in new product whilst logistics services manage the transport of our goods to meet customer OTIF in the most efficient manner. Supply chain team in Vietnam work closely with regional supply hub to ensure everything is in smooth operations.

The Primary Manufacturing Division (PMD)– operates as an independent manufacturing company under the name of British American Tobacco – Vinataba (JV) Limited. Based in Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai province and in partnership with Vinataba, PMD covers the supply chain from leaf growing and raw materials supply planning to cut rag processing. From here, the cut rag is supplied to partnered factories to produce the finished goods.

The Secondary Manufacturing Division (SMD) – operates as an independent manufacturing company under the name of Vina – BAT Joint Venture Company Limited – completes the road to our market by producing the premium finished products to deliver to our consumers. It also makes up a full supply chain from materials planning and logistics to procurement and manufacturing.

Both PMD and SMD are currently operating Integrated Work System (IWS), which is a world class program for factories in term of efficiency, cost management and high performing culture.
